Meet Lily Merovitz-Budning.

Registered Physiotherapist (MScPT, MSc Rehab Sciences, BScKin)

Physiotherapist | cyclist | outdoors enthusiast

My exposure to sport as a young person fueled my love for movement and introduced me to the art and science of recovery and rehabilitation. These formative experiences inspired me to undertake an undergraduate degree in kinesiology, where I gained a strong understanding of advanced anatomy and health sciences. My pursuit for practical knowledge led me to become a student athletic therapist for the Royal Military College Men’s varsity hockey team where I enjoyed working as a first responder and collaborating with athletes to support their recovery in the clinic setting.

My desire to learn how to parse literature and develop new evidence led me to become a student researcher at the Cardiovascular Stress Response Lab at Queen’s University. I developed my passion for research which led me to pursue a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Science at McGill University. This experience highlighted my desire to work with individuals in a one-on-one capacity towards recovery, leading me to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.

I remain committed to life-long learning and strive to cultivate an evidence informed practice. I combine hands-on techniques with education and exercise to empower individuals to reach their personal functional and performance goals. Ultimately, I aim to provide individuals with the tools to confidently self-manage and participate fully in their favourite activities.

In my free time, I love to adventure outdoors. Some of my favourite ways to raise my heart rate include biking, rock-climbing, skiing, and running.
