Run unloaded. Stay healthy.
Redefine what’s possible in both rehab and training using Lever body weight support.
Run with less load on your body.
Lever Body Weight Support suspends part of your body weight, allowing you to run with less load on your body.
It uses a skeleton frame and elastic cords to hold you slightly above the treadmill, reducing your body weight by up to 45lbs.
After bursting onto the scene in 2019, it has quickly become a favourite training tool amongst many pro athletes, including Olympic Triathlon Champion Flora Duffy and Ironman World Champion Sebastian Kienle.
This tool is available in both our Toronto and Hamilton locations and is an add-on to our in-clinic treadmills.
A few ways the Lever can support you in your goals:
Resume pain free running and walking faster.
With reduced body weight, you’ll be able to return to running with less risk or pain. It’s also easy to progress gradually by slowly increasing load and intensity.
Improve recovery from injury and surgery.
Get moving faster while having greater control over the load placed on recovering tissue.
Increase training volume and/or frequency.
Train more while minimizing loads and injury risk. That translates to Improved endurance and strength with reduced risk of overload or setbacks.
Faster recovery between sessions.
Recovery runs on the system can help build aerobic fitness while minimizing muscle and joint stress, allowing you to recover faster between intense sessions.
Improve your running mechanics.
With less body weight to support, you can concentrate on your running form and mechanics without the added stress of full impact.
Find your fast!
Incorporate over-speed training to improve the neuromuscular pattern of running. That’s a fancy way of saying that you can train your legs to go faster and use overspeed training.
