Meet Dr. Kristen Sanhueza.
Chiropractor and Acupuncture Provider (BA Hons)
Chiropractor | Coach | Runner | Triathlete | I discovered a love for racing early on, first in the pool, followed closely by the track, and the trails. To this day, I believe there is something special about having the space to put yourself out there in a way that sport, and specifically endurance sport demands. I have competed competitively as a swimmer, a runner, and a triathlete. Throughout that time, I experienced firsthand the highs of achieving ambitious goals and the frustration that comes with setbacks. Those experiences deepened my love of the game and helped shape my approach to helping others.
Following a significant bike crash, I had to spend some time learning to balance raising my two amazing children and awesome dog with coaching and squeezing in my own training. Just when I thought I had it under control, I decided to return to university to pursue a degree in Cognitive Science before earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. That entire journey has taught me that resilience, curiosity, and a willingness to keep learning are just as important as physical strength. Today, I combine that mindset with evidence-informed chiropractic care to help runners and active individuals perform better, recover from injury, and continue doing what they love.
My approach blends hands-on treatment with movement assessment, rehabilitation, education, soft-tissue therapy, and medical acupuncture. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, chasing a marathon personal best, returning to sport after an injury, or simply hoping to keep running for decades to come, I believe the best outcomes happen when you understand your body and become an active participant in your recovery.
